2018 OYCF Speaker: Julian Gewirtz

Julian Gewirtz is a Fellow in History and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and adoctoral candidate in history at the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He is the author of Unlikely Partners: Chinese Reformers, Western Economists, and the Making of Global China (Harvard University Press, 2017). Previously he worked as Special Advisor for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as at American and Chinese technology companies. His writing on Asia has appeared in publications including the Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post.
